Smiley360 Pompeian OlivExtra® Premium Mediterranean Blend Review

My most recent Smiley360 Mission has been a very tasty one, for sure! Having received a full-sized bottle of Pompeian OlivExtra Premium Mediterranean Blend to review, I have been using it in place of my regular vegetable and olive oils when cooking and baking and the results have been delicious!

Pompeian OlivExtra Mediterranean Blend can be used when cooking anything from fish & other seafood, to meats, poultry, and vegetables. It is ideal for salads, sauteing, frying and baking and can even be used as a butter substitute! An added bonus is that it can be used with high heat cooking of up to 450 degrees!

The unique blend of Canola, Extra Virgin Olive, and Grapeseed oils means that OlivExtra Premium is made up mostly of "good" fats, essential omega-6 and omega-3, and Vitamin E.

When I was growing up, my mom mainly cooked with heavy vegetable oil or shortening. I didn't really start thinking of the health benefits of cooking with olive oils until about 7 years ago. Since then, I've tried many different brands and types of olive oils and the Pompeian brand has always been one of my favorites. I tend to lean towards the lighter tasting olive oils and I knew I had hit the jackpot with this Pompeian OlivExtra Premium Mediterranean Blend! It is absolutely wonderful!

My son, who is 12, frequently asks to make dinner for our family. He has a favorite Italian Chicken recipe that he likes to make that involves cooking cut up chicken breasts in oil, sauteing vegetables along with it, and adding Italian seasoning to it all. When he made this dish using the OlivExtra, I noticed a big difference in the overall taste and quality of the meal. The flavors were wonderfully enhanced & blended together and was a wonderful treat for our taste buds!

When I made spaghetti recently, I wanted some garlic bread to go along with it. A friend of mine had mentioned that she always uses English muffins when she makes hers, so I decided to give it a try. I'm hooked!

First, I took a pack of English muffins and split them in half. I then drizzled the OlivExtra over them all, sprinkled them with garlic salt, and a mixture of several cheeses and broiled them for a few minutes. They were awesome!

I haven't had a chance yet to make a vinaigrette with it, but as soon as I get some baby spinach, walnuts, craisins, and oranges, you can be sure that I'll be using the OlivExtra when I do!
