SchoolhouseTeachers.com Review

If I had to pick just one site for all of my homeschooling resource needs, SchoolhouseTeachers.com (an expansion of what used to be known as Teachers Toolbox) would definitely be "the" one. I've enjoyed my membership for almost 1 & 1/2 years now, and I can honestly say that it is still as new and exciting as the first day I joined.

For just $1 for the first month, and $5.95 per month thereafter, you too can have full access to student assignments, The Old Schoolhouse magazine, reading lists, Schoolhouse Planners, and so very much more!

While I love EVERYTHING about SchoolhouseTeachers.com, my #1 favorite is that all 5 of the Schoolhouse Planners can be downloaded free with membership. These are not just your average, every day planners. These are all-inclusive, knock-your-socks-off, everything-but-the-kitchen-sink planners! The 2012-2013 "Big Mama" Schoolhouse Planner alone contains more than 800 pages of forms, lists, calendars, logs, helpful articles written by homeschooling experts & parents and what makes it even better is that you can customize it to suite your personal needs.

I am a huge fan of lapbooking, especially with my younger children. We are looking forward to the August "Gray Squirrel, Red Squirrel" lapbooking lessons. Since we live in the country, and my little boy likes watching the squirrels in our yard, I think this will be the perfect lesson for us! I also somehow missed May's lesson of "A Condensed History of the Photograph" and plan on using it with my daughter who has recently developed an interest in photography.

Another feature that I haven't made enough use of is "This Month's Menu". This is an ENTIRE MONTH of great recipes for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks complete with interactive calendar. As a family of 7, our life can get pretty hectic and sometimes it's nice to already know the answer to the question, "Mom, what's for dinner?"

The free e-books and monthly bonus e-books are also a favorite feature of mine. I am currently preparing to read "Preschool At Home Where They Belong" as soon as I load it on my Kindle Fire.

Some of the biggest names in in online and home education contribute to SchoolhouseTeachers.com and each month new teachers in new subject areas will join the team that already consists of names such as Kim Kautzer, Diana Waring, Terri Johnson, Hands of a Child lapbooking team, Malia Russel, George Escobar, and more!

If you are trying to decide if a membership is right for you, view these sample pages for a better idea of what SchoolhouseTeachers.com has to offer and take a site tour while you're there.

If you are a Kindle Fire, Apple, or Android user, make sure to check out "The Old Schoolhouse To Go" and download the apps for FREE for access to homeschool advice anytime, anywhere.
