Instead of candy this past Easter, my daughter wanted a couple bottles of the limited edition OPI New York City Ballet Collection polishes. (She ended up getting candy too!) She chose "You Callin' Me a Lyre?" and "Pirouette My Whistle". Now, over these past couple of months, I've seen the polish on her nails and commented on how pretty it is but I've not paid much more attention to it than that.
(Read about it on her blog Whimsy Hive!)
Until, that is, she gave me a mani/pedi and used the "You Callin' Me A Lyre" polish on my nails. I fell it love with it! My nails are pretty short and I really don't like vibrant color on them screaming "LOOK AT ME"! This color is the perfectly muted color of leotard pink and goes with everything I wear.

I am amazed at how durable this polish is. I'm going on 4 days and so far there is not so much as one chip even though my hands have taken a beating doing dishes, cleaning, washing my hands, & you name it.
But, there is a problem. My daughter told me I couldn't have hers. (GASP!) This was a limited collection so I wasn't sure I would be able to find any bottles left in our area. Luckily, our JCPenney has ONE bottle and they are saving it for me until I can stop by to pick it up. I've also been told there is a remaining bottle at a local Kroger store. Am I going to drive all over my town buying up any remaining bottles? Why, yes, I am! (So, don't worry Anna! I won't take YOUR bottle!)
While not pictures of the New York City Ballet, here are some pictures of my daughter in her first ballet recital. It was beautiful!

So, thank you OPI for giving me the perfect nail polish and thank you Anna for introducing me to it in the first place!
