This past year, I have had the privilege of reviewing quite a few great science programs. The Christian Kids Explore Chemistry curriculum from Bright Ideas Press is no exception. Written by trained educators for grades 4-8, all 30 lessons are presented from a biblical world view with Scripture integrated from start to finish.
As a TOS Crew member, I received the 2nd edition of this book and the brand new Resource CD files in PDF format. The updated workbook and easy-to-use CD can be purchased online for $39.95 and include the following:
30 lessons (each grouped into 5 units)
Vocabulary Words and Materials List for Each Section
Chemistry Notations and Rules
Supplemental Book List
On the Resource CD:
Daily Lesson Plans
Bonus Literature Study Guide
All Reproducibles (Coloring pages, unit reviews, activity charts, follow-up questions for each lesson)
There is so much that I like about Christian Kids Explore Chemistry - New 2nd Edition, that I don't know where to begin. I think if I were to list EVERYTHING that I like about it, my post would be so long, nobody would want to read it so I'll try to list just a few of my favorite features. I do highly encourage you to visit the Bright Ideas Press website to learn for yourselves about all the great products that they have to offer.
These are a few of my favorite things: (OK...now I have the Julie Andrews version of the song going through my head!)
The coloring pages on the CD are age appropriate for 4-8 grades.
Although I prefer KJV exclusively (which this is not), I appreciate the Scripture integrated from cover to cover.
Lessons are presented from a BIBLICAL world view.
Lessons are organized and easy-to-use.
Lessons are FUN!

My life has been so hectic lately that I don't really have the time that I need to devote to lesson planning so having it included on the CD is a definite plus for me!
This really is a "curriculum moms love"!
