Trans-Siberian Orchestra!

I've been so busy that I haven't really posted much besides reviews and giveaways lately, but I sort of felt like I should publicly thank my husband for what should have been an awesome birthday/Christmas present. And, it would have been had I not had a migraine.

See....he bought tickets for me and our 3 older children to see Trans Siberian Orchestra when they came to town on December 1st. If you have ever been to a TSO concert, you will understand why it's not a good idea to go to one with a migraine. If you have never seen them live, or if you have no idea who they are, you are totally missing out!

This was my 6th time attending one of their concerts. I missed the past couple of years due to being pregnant and on bed rest and then last year, we just didn't have the money to go. Our seats weren't the greatest, (Section 212, Row B, Seats 13/14/15/16) but we still had a great view. TSO really puts on an awesome show. The laser lights this year were better than I've ever seen them and they even incorporated a moving stage into the act. I don't know of any other band who performs for a solid 2 1/2 hours either. You definitely get your money's worth with TSO. I have to say that I was more than a bit disappointed to learn that the concert was being performed by the West Coast troupe rather than the East Coast troupe whom I had grown accustomed to seeing. They were still great, but not Chris Caffery or Mark Wood or Mee Eun Kim. Looking at the TSO website, I'm not even sure Mark Wood is still with the band, but I missed seeing him and his rockin' glow-in-the dark electric violin.

On a funny note, it kind of struck me as odd to see people chowing down on pizza & ice cream during their concert and there aren't too many places you will see people dressed like they are going to either a full fledged orchestra performance or a mosh pit. I LOVE TSO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I look forward to seeing them again in 2012! If you have the chance, you definitely should go see them.

Thank you hubby for the tickets!

I am extremely lucky to have been to so many of their concerts! My sister took me to my very first one, as a birthday present, 8 years ago and I've been hooked ever since!
