When I was given the opportunity to review the Thomas Kinkade movie Christmas Lodge, I jumped at the chance. Christmas is my favorite season, and I am always looking for decent family movies to watch with my children. I have also always been drawn to the works of Thomas Kinkade, which made this movie even more appealing.

This was one of the best family movies I've ever seen and it is sure to put you in the holiday spirit!

From beginning to end, this movie more than exceeded my expectations. I was pleasantly surprised at how solid the story line was and how well the sets, the music, and even the choice of actors all meshed together. Erin Karpluk plays an endearing, compassionate leading lady with Michael Shanks as her love interest, Jack Rand. It might not seem like a big deal to some, but I thought it was wonderful when a couple spent the night in separate rooms in a lodge when they went out of town together. As a matter of fact, there is no "adult situations" at all, and no kissing until the end of the movie and even then it was conservative. The movie highlights family and the importance of spending time together with those you love and getting to know one another. Grace was said over meals, the grandfather was shown reading his Bible, and the only drinking in the movie appeared to be cider. I just finished watching it, and I am already looking forward to watching it again with my children!

"Thomas Kinkade presents Christmas Lodge: a place where a heart-warming past and loving future meet for one remarkable group of people. During a weekend trip to the mountains, Mary (Erin Karpluk) finds herself at the now- dilapidated lodge where she spent the holidays with her family growing up. She becomes determined to restore the building to its former glory. Inspired by her grandfather and guided by her grandmother in heaven, Mary throws herself into the project, and during the process finds herself drawn to Jack (Michael Shanks), a handsome man who loves the lodge as much as she does. Historically unlucky in love, this chance encounter allows Mary to renew her faith in life and discover her one true love. For an uplifting story about the importance of faith, family and the true holiday spirit, go to the Christmas Lodge."

I started watching this tonight with my 8 year old daughter and we are loving it! Such a sweet story and I DID notice that they had separate rooms at the hotel, there was praying and references to the Lord and it touched my heart! Please don't count me in on the giveaway as I am reviewing, too. I just wanted to tell you that you gave a great review!:) Lori
