Fashion Sense(less)

I'll be the first to admit that I've never had much of a sense of style. Now that I'm older, have 5 kids, and have weight to lose, it's even worse. There are a lot of things I can blame it on: lack of money, lack of time, shopping with 5 kids, hard to find clothes that fit right (I'm under 5'3"), difficult to find stylish clothing for plus sizes, blah blah blah.

I had good intentions of being back into my "normal" size come Fall/Winter but unless a Genie appears with 3 wishes, that just isn't going to happen. I don't think I can bear to wear my frumpy clothes for another season so I am going to be forced to do two things I dread.....#1 SHOP and #2 spend money on myself.

My normal attire is jeans and a t-shirt & flip flops but the weather is changing here in Southern Ohio and it won't be long before my flip flops will have to be packed away. Before I know it, boots will be in order. I meant to purchase some this summer when they might have been a bit cheaper, but I never got around to it. Now, winter will be here soon, and I still don't have my boots!

My challenge is going to be to find stylish clothing that suits me AND my budget.

Here are a couple of things I found that I really like from Old Navy. Not crazy about the "faux" leather shooties, but love the style.

My 13 year old loves to shop. I'm thinking I should just let her loose with a list of things I need and let her shop for me! Hmmm, that might just be a plan! She has more fashion sense that I do any day!

Farmerboyk....YOU would never dread it because you don't have to spend it knowing you need it for other things! And, you would spend it on computer stuff, not clothes. I'd much rather shop for computer stuff but I can't wear that. lol

@Renee, thanks for the idea! I didn't think about that. That would look nice!

I saw that sweater coat in the Old Navy ad and really liked it. I also need some boots, but I'm so picky about them that I've never actually owned any! Here's to hoping I can find some this year.
